We are a federal contracting consulting firm because we have been in the federal contracting arena for nearly 20 years. While we have supported large businesses within the arena, our specialty has been supporting small set-aside businesses pursuing Department of Defense (DoD) construction contracts. We enjoy seeing all our clients succeed, but we especially enjoy seeing small set-aside businesses succeed in the federal market, which is extremely tough and unforgiving. Our significant experience spans all operational departments of a federal construction company. We have spent years in the marketing department, developing capture plans, pursuit strategies, win themes, etc., and we have spent years in the operations department managing projects for highly complex clients, such as the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). Our experience includes successfully opening up new offices, capturing new market share in competitive regions without prior performance or relationships, building new relationships with customers and subcontractors that yield profitable returns, and hiring operational staff. What drove the creation of FCCS was a desire to create our own destiny on our own terms, in a way that allows us to share our experience and knowledge within the industry.
